SDC - Category 5 Data Cabling Services

Data Cable Our Data Cabling Department provides a comprehensive design, installation and commissioning service covering a wide range of data and voice communications. We can undertake installations of varying sizes from small networks to large multi-site installations supporting differing types of network infrastructure.

Cable Network Design: We can provide users with a comprehensive category 5 cable network design and quotation service. Our own experienced and fully trained staff will carry out a site survey and advise on the most practical and cost-effective methods of achieving the required solution.

Large or Small Networks: We can install a category 5 cable network to meet with the specific requirements of our clients - from small Unix and PC Networks right through to complex integrated voice and data, multi-vendor networks.

Refurbishments or Extensions: We can extend or replace existing cable installations to ensure that they satisfy the technical requirements of today's high-speed voice and data communications.

New Buildings: By working with the building contractor and/or architect we can design and install a complete and flexible structured cable network for both voice and data communications, including data outlets, hubs, bridges, repeaters, fibre optic links and distribution panels.

Physical Installation: All horizontal cable installations are enclosed in existing trunking/cable ducts or where applicable in new trunking/cable ducts appropriate to the architecture and decoration of the building. Cables are terminated at the user end in the appropriate data outlet and at the system end in patch panels and communications cabinets. All data outlets and patch panels are clearly labelled for ease of identification and future re-location of equipment etc.

Commissioning & Testing: All installations are fully tested utilising the latest electronic test equipment and a fully documented test report is produced for each installation. We can provide a full equipment integration and commissioning service in conjunction with the chosen computer system and telecoms supplier.

Authorised Molex Installer: Our installation staff are fully trained and Molex approved. We use only the highest quality components and materials and all work is fully guaranteed against faulty workmanship or materials for a period of twelve months from date of installation.
